A Taiwanese man asked a cosmetic surgeon to perform an operation to change his nose to the shape of a pig's snout so that it will bring him luck in 2001.

According to traditional Chinese beliefs, the shape of a person's face determines their fortune, and in Chinese society pigs are regarded as a symbol of wealth. However the man's luck was out on this occasion as the surgeon flatly refused to carry out the bizarre alteration.
