Exploding Chewing Gum Killed Student

A 25 year-old Ukrainian chemistry student was killed by what is believed to be because of an exploding chewing gum.

Exploding Chewing Gum

The student from Kiev Polytechnic Institute was found dead with his jaw blown off after working on a computer at his parents' house. He was known for his habit of dipping chewing gum in citric acid, but police found packets of both citric acid and an explosive material on a table on his parents' room, leading them to conclude that he may have confused the two packets.
