Alex Mitchell, a 50 year-old bricklayer from King's Lynn, Norfolk, died of heart failure brought on by uncontrollable laughter while watching a 1975 episode of the BBC comedy series The Goodies.
Laughing death |
The funny scene from the show was which a kilt-wearing Scotsman used a set of bagpipes to defend himself against an aggressor armed with a black pudding. Mr. Mitchell's widow later wrote to The Goodies, @Bill Oddie, Greame Garden, and Tim Brooke-Taylor - and thanked them for making her husband's final minutes so happy.
